The dark sheep of the international surf rock scene are still going stronger and stronger. Having released 8 albums over a span of 25 years The Tremolo Beer Gut remains a force to be reckoned with on the live stages across the world. In the last couple of years they have trotted the globe delivering smokey silhouetted rock’n’roll shows from Hawai’i to Stockholm and from Buenos Aires to Seattle. This is a band with a serious live pedigree – both as TBG but also with easily more than 1000 shows under their belt combined.

Langhorns är Lundabandet som med sin lika självklara som nydanande stil fört surfrocken ut från antikvariaten och in i nya tider. Till glädje för både edsvurna fans och nyväckta lyssnare kommer nu plattan Showstopper (Adore Music/Bad Taste Empire), som släpps på vinyl och på streamingplattformar i maj. Ljudbilden är distinkt Langhornsk och fullföljer linjen från albumen Langhorns 1998, Club Gabardino 1999 och Mission Exotica 2003 (alla på Bad Taste Records). Medlemmarna känns igen från band som Sinners, Torsson och Liberator, och resultatet är en tajt kombo som alltid låter låten stå i första rummet – oavsett om den är en två minuters skevande riffverkstad, en elegant mahognyglidare på slör, eller en stolt ponny i flykt.

About the latest album: You Can’t Handle The Tremolo Beer Gut is the band’s 5th studio album and features guest appearances by founding member (now alumnus) Sune Rose Wagner (The Raveonettes, Psyched Up Janis), Jon Spencer (The Blues Explosion & Heavy Trash), Cristina Martinez (Boss Hog, Pussy Galore – with Jon Spencer), Evan D. Foster (The Sonics, The Boss Martians), The Courettes, Chris Barfield (The Huntington Cads) and others. The new album is released by Crunchy Frog worldwide except for the USA, where the two esteemed labels, MuSick Recordings (Los Angeles) and No-Count Records (Seattle) will be spreading the gospel of the TBG.
