Hailing from California, Kepi began to make name in the late 80’s as the energetic frontman of punk rock band Groovie Ghoulies, one of the most prolific bands on the Lookout! Records-label (Operation Ivy, Green Day, Screeching Weasel, etc.) sharing stages with anyone from The Cramps to Chuck Berry. Since the mid 90’s the band toured Europe pretty much annually too, and started working with Stardumb Records in Europe in the early 2000’s. After the Groovie Ghoulies broke up in 2007, Kepi steadily continued to tour and make records, both solo as well as with friends, like The Copyrights and recently with Vic Ruggiero (The Slackers).
