The Malmö band Birds on Clouds with flute, violin, piano, guitar, bass, drums and vocals moves within the genre of indie pop. The music is both energetic and emotional. Thanks to the band members’ widely spread musical backgrounds, shades of folk, soul and rock can be sensed.

“That feeling of having a place where you let it all out. Where improvisation, emotions and playfulness can exist. Although life has changed in many ways over the years, the love for music remains. And the content of the lyrics has changed. The new EP is about life choices, dancing with the demons and the pursuit of creativity.”

The band consists of Lina Pihl (vocals), Sara Ejerhem (transverse flute, xylophone, vocals), Anders Holmqvist (drums), Karin Blom (violin), Joakim Kronhav (guitar), Martin Ljungqvist (piano).

Birds on Clouds was formed in Malmö in 2011 and their debut EP was well received by critics both in Sweden and internationally. Said about the last EP:
”Debut EP Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes is a dreamy indie pop delight full of gorgeous songs tinged with melancholy and woe” (The Devil Has The Best Tuna, UK).

Med svensk pop, indie- och arenarock i ryggmärgen bjuder nu Malmö-bandet Red Planet på en kväll med egen musik som publiken kan sjunga, dansa till och onekligen dras med i. Bandet är aktuella med EP:n ”Reaching Out The Room” vars sound kan beskrivas som ”Bedroom Arena Rock” med ”snygga gitarrmelodier, stabila trumkomp, svängiga basgångar, och ljuvlig sång som kokas ihop i sångarens hemmastudio”. Förvänta er en show med oerhört drag och nytänkande musik med svävande melodier som får håret i nacken att resa sig.
